Follow Citations to a Book Using Google Scholar

Sometimes your instructors will give you a list of suggested books they want you to read.  Or maybe you looked at the reference list in a book or article you are using and want to track down some of the books cited.  


In either case, a good way to find those books is through Google Scholar. 


Let's try to find the below book citation from the book we're reading!  


Katherine Beckett and Theodore Sasson, The Politics of Injustice: Crime and Punishment in America, (Thousand Oaks, CA: Sage Publications, 2004), 163. 



Be sure to access Google Scholar through the EKU Libraries hompage and login using your EKU username and password:



Type in several words from the title.  Including an author last name can be very helpful as well:
