Journal Impact Factor is frequently used as an indicator for the importance of a journal to its field. Eigenfactor and SCImago Journal & Country Rank are free tools for finding the impact of a journal or groups of journals. 

Find and Use Journal Impact Factor

To view a journal's impact factor in Web of Science, search the journal title. Click on the arrow beside the journal name link in any given reference. Then, click view journal impact.
