The Department for Natural Resources provides technical assistance, education and funding to sustain Kentucky's natural resources. It is home to the divisions of Abandoned Mine Lands, Forestry, Mine Permits, Conservation, Oil & Gas, Mine Safety and Mine Reclamation.
