Ryan K. Baggett, EdD, is an Associate Professor of Homeland Security and Program Coordinator at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in Richmond, KY. His instruction focuses on critical infrastructure protection, risk analysis, and security technology applications. In his former position, Baggett served as a contractor to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Department of Justice for ten years. His published work includes the first edition of Praeger’s Homeland Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection (2009), Homeland Security and Critical Infrastructure Protection 2nd Edition (2018), Homeland Security Technologies for the 21st Century (2017), as well as several book chapters and journal articles. From a service perspective, he is an EKU Faculty Senator, EKU Faculty Innovator and sits on an American Red Cross Chapter Board and the Madison County Cooperative Extension Board. Baggett has received multiple academic awards including the 2013 EKU Critical Thinking Teacher of the Year, 2014 EKU Award of Teaching Excellence, the 2015 EKU eCampus Faculty Advocate for Student Success Award, and the 2017 College of Justice and Safety Outstanding Mentor Award. He holds a doctorate in leadership and policy studies and graduate and undergraduate degrees in criminal justice.

Cindy Judd is an Associate University Librarian and Instructor at Eastern Kentucky University. She serves as the Team Leader of the Learning Resources Center at EKU Libraries. She provides research and instructional support for the College of Education as well as teaching in the university's First Year Programs. Judd's passion is in incorporating active learning strategies in the classroom while supporting the information needs of EKU's students and faculty. She has co-authored chapters on best practices in supporting online learning, creating an integrated educational experience for students in a library setting, and leading technology training for pre-service teachers. She has served as a Faculty Innovator at EKU for three years.
