Library Express/Interlibrary Loan Services for NSC840
When searching for your theorist's primary sources (primary = written by the theorist), note that EKU Libraries will have some of these sources in our collection, but not all.
For articles and book chapters that we don’t have you are welcome to use Library Express/Interlibrary Loan at https://library.eku.edu/interlibrary-loan, a free service where the article or book chapter is scanned and emailed.
If your desired primary source is only available as a print book, and it is in our collection, we will mail it to you at no charge with a return post-paid envelope.
If we don’t have your desired print book, we will request it from another library via Interlibrary Loan. Please be aware that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some libraries may not offer Interlibrary Loan of physical items, and that may make it difficult or time-consuming to obtain certain books - or even impossible! If your needed resource is a book, I strongly recommend that you identify a back-up resource to use in case we just can't get the book for you in time.
Since this is an 8-week course, there isn’t a great deal of time to get access to these materials, regardless of which method is involved. It is necessary that you identify your theorist/s and the works you want to read as early as possible. The first week of class would be a very good time to place your Interlibrary Loan requests.
