Library Services for New Faculty

Home

A librarian is ready and waiting to help find answers to the questions you have.  Please reach out to us using one of these modes of contact:

Ask Us! Services

Outside of the Library Liaison program, EKU Libraries utilizes a suite of options we refer to as our Ask Us! services that better enable us to meet our students, faculty, and staff in a multitude of ways wherever they are. Current options available to start a conversation include:

  • Instant messaging chat:  Start a chat with a librarian from any library page.  Simply look for the Ask Us! tab on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • Email:  Email a librarian at reference.library@eku.edu.
  • Call:  Speak over the phone with a librarian at 859-622-6594.
  • Visit:  We'd love to meet you in person!  Please consider stopping by the main library desk located in the main library lobby.

Library Liaisons

Your library liaison is your link to an extensive range of services and resources offered by the library.  Each academic department has been assigned a library faculty member who will work with you to identify resources necessary for your teaching and research pursuits.

What are some examples of what your library liaison can do for you?

  • Provide library instruction for your classes
  • Create subject-specific research guides for your classes
  • Meet with your students on an individual basis to help with their research
  • Help you with your research
  • Help with requesting new resources, accessing new resources, or help troubleshoot problems locating resources

Faculty Orientation Form

Unsure of who your library liaison is?  Would you like a librarian who specializes in your field to reach out to you?  Take a moment to fill out our New Faculty Orientation form and we'll work behind the scenes to get you connected to the right librarian.

NOTE:  Worked here for ten years?  No matter.  You don't need to be "new" faculty to fill out the form.
