What can it do for you?

Library Express is the vehicle by which we deliver materials to you.  Those materials can take different forms (physical book, article PDF, streaming video, etc.) and may be items we currently own; items we could considering purchasing for our collection; or items capable of being borrowed from another library on your behalf.  Depending on your unique circumstances, a request you submit  to Library Express could allow you to:

  • receive an article electronically;
  • have a physical item pulled from our collections and held for you at one of our campus libraries or mailed to your office or home address (if you qualify);
  • place a hold on an item that is checked out;
  • request that an item be purchased and held for you;
  • request that an item be placed on Course Reserve for your class; or
  • borrow an item from another library.

How do I start using Library Express?

Remember, Library Express can work to get materials into your hands that we currently own, could purchase, or can borrow from another library.  General rule of thumb is to look for links like Find Full Text, Request this item through Library Express, or simply Request It to begin requesting materials.

Refer to the following EKU Libraries' FAQs for detailed instructions on using Library Express:
