Mendeley is a free, easy-to-use tool that helps you collect, organize, cite, and share sources and create bibliographies, reference pages, or works cited pages.

With Mendeley, you can:

  • Automatically generate citations and bibliographies.
  • Read, annotate and highlight PDFs from within your Mendeley citation library.
  • Find relevant papers based on what you’re reading.
  • Access your research from anywhere online.
  • Store research documents (2GB)

Why would I choose Mendeley over other reference management tools like Zotero or EndNote?

  • Mendeley offers robust features related to managing and working with PDFs.
  • Mendeley offers an academic social network that helps you:
    • connect with other scholars and researchers and
    • discover the latest research in your subject area.
