We host several successful peer reviewed journals on our digital archive, Encompass.
If you or your professional organization is considering starting an open access journal, ask us if this might be a good option for you.
You may already have an author profile in ResearchGate, Academia.edu or Google Citations. You can also submit the full text of your publications or presentation slides in Encompass, where they will be hosted in the "EKU Faculty and Staff Scholarship" series. Not only will this series highlight the scholarship output of EKU faculty and staff in one location, but you will have the ability to see analytics on the views and downloads of your scholarship. *An important note about copyright: If you want to post the full text of a journal article you published with a traditional journal publisher, whether you post it in a public site like ResearchGate or on Encompass, you will first need to determine whether you have the rights to do so. You can either consult the author agreement you signed or the Sherpa/Romeo website, which lists what rights each publisher grants to authors. Generally, authors are allowed to post pre-prints in their local institutional repository as long as they include the full citation with the article, but to be sure, you will need to confirm this at Sherpa/Romeo.
Acknowledging the important role of creation in student learning, EKU Libraries provide open access to student works in the following collections:
