Located on the first floor of the Crabbe Library, the Geek Innovation Center consists of space designed for EKU students to learn, create, and have fun and relax in our Makerspace, Media spaces, gaming room, VR\AR immersion, and the Colonel Oasis.
The Geek Innovation Center on the first floor of the EKU Crabbe Library supports innovation and the creative spirit of Eastern Kentucky University. We want to provide EKU students transformative and collaborative experiences through innovative making and prototyping, media creation, gameplay, VR\AR immersion, and wellness.
We work within the philosophy of:
Collaboration, creative inquiry, and project development with students and others to bring together multiple perspectives to solve challenges and enhance scholarship (e.g., class projects, passion projects, work projects).
Building on skills by coaching and providing workshops for students' work.
Co-curricular experiences in order to equip the EKU community to understand the problems they want to solve and design solutions to make a positive impact in their communities.
