Eastern Kentucky University Libraries is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government document collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44 United States Code).Eastern Kentucky University Libraries was designated as a selective depository library in 1966 under the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). It receives approximately 12% of all federal publications offered to depository libraries.
The print and microfiche government document collection includes historical state and federal documents, with particular emphasis on census data, congressional materials, environmental reports, and public health information.
The physical U.S. Government Documents collection is located on the third floor of the Main Library. This collection is open to the public during the hours the Main Library is open.
