Library Instruction

Due to safety measures taken in response to COVID-19, we will be providing library instruction remotely for Spring 2021. Thank you for your understanding. When planning your Spring courses, please consider the following options:

Synchronous Online Instruction

  • For classes holding regular meetings online (whether through Zoom, Collaborate, Teams, or any other means): a librarian will facilitate a live online library instruction session tailored to your course and assignment.
  • Make a request for synchronous library instruction here: Instruction Request Form.

Asynchronous Online Instruction

  • For classes meeting face-to-face but with an online component, or classes being taught completely asynchronously online: a librarian will record an online instruction session, create a module of shorter library instruction videos with accompanying searching and evaluating assignments (see a sample course video playlist here and accompanying sample assignment here), or develop a combination of the two.
  • Make a request for asynchronous library instruction here: Instruction Request Form.

Research Assistance

  • Whether your class is synchronous or asynchronous, librarians are always available to help your students online via email, chat, and research appointment at libanswers.eku.edu.
