Information Literacy Toolkit

Using the Toolkit

The Information Literacy Toolkit is a collection of resources that faculty and instructors can use to help plan or implement assignments in classes. These resources can help you scaffold research skills into your classes, think of new ways to assign research, and help you assess your students' work.

Content is organized by:

Information Literacy Frames > > Specific Assignments and Materials

Be sure to note if the assignment is facilitated, unfacilitated, or both.*

*Facilitated = Assignments that should be integrated into your in-person instruction time and require course instructor facilitation.

*Unfacilitated = Assignments can be assigned and completed by the students outside of instruction time. Ideal for online only classes or as alternative classroom work when bad weather or other events interrupt instruction time.

*Facilitated and unfacilitated Options = Options for both facilitated instruction or modifications for unfacilitated delivery.
