COVID-19 Restrictions to Technology Use and Borrowing
Current EKU faculty, staff and student visitors to the John Grant Crabbe Main Library are required to practice 6 feet social distancing guidelines, and to wipe down their used surfaces when leaving. This includes wiping down keyboards, mice, and the work areas surrounding any used desktop computers.
Due to the risks of sharing physical items without a quarantine period for them, the library has made the difficult decision to suspend the circulation of certain physical items that have been available in past semesters.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may pose, but the following items will not be available for the Fall 2020 semester:
Cables/Cords: HDMI, VGA, Dongle, etc.
Calculators: TI-83, TI-84, and standard
Craft Bags: bags include an assortment of colored pencils, crayons, markers, and glue sticks
Expo Markers and Whiteboard Erasers
Headphones (with and without attached microphones)
Nexus 10 Tablets
The Eastern Kentucky University libraries provide technologies and opportunities to increase technological skills to enhance research, teaching and learning. Each library on campus has personal computers for convenience and access to our digital resources. The library also has a selection of computer equipment (laptops, scanners, printers, etc.) and audiovisual materials (CD and DVD players, microform readers, etc.) for use and loan. In addition, computers and tablets may be checked-out.
Below are instructions on how to setup devices to EKU's Wireless Network.
Using Library Resources Off Campus - When accessing the Libraries' databases and other online resources, you will be prompted to log in with your E-Key (EKU email) to make content available to you that is not free on the open web.
For immediate assistance contact the circulation help desk at 859-622-1790 on the second floor.
