Check out some commonly used library jargon, and figure out just what exactly it all means! 

Library Search:  This is what you will use to search for books and other materials at EKU Libraries; commonly referred to as a 'catalog'.  

Limiters:  Helpful filters you can use to narrow your search and remove less relevant results.

Library Express:  EKU's service for requesting books, articles, and other materials; these materials can come from EKU or other libraries. 

Call Number:  An alphanumerical code, printed on a label attached to the material, that tells you where on the shelf to find that item.  

Research Guide:  A collection of resources curated and/or created by librarians that will help you with a particular subject.
