Colonel Oasis

The EKU IT Geek Colonel Oasis is a space where students can take a break from studying, exams, or just life in general. The space provides stress-relief activities and materials--massage chair, yoga mats, puzzles, color sheets, and origami materials.

Movement and Exercise

According to the American Psychological Association (APA), movement and exercise can enhance your mood in as little as 5 minutes, treat and prevent anxiety, help lessen chronic depression symptoms, and make you more able to fight off illness.  Movement and exercise can include activities like:

  • Yoga
  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • T'ai Chi and Qugong
  • Weight Training
