Schedule Library Instruction
EKU Libraries offers a variety of teaching and learning services to support you and your students, regardless of whether your course is in-person, hybrid, or online. Librarians can work with you to customize learning outcomes and develop assignments, educational materials, and/or instructional support on subjects like research question or topic development, finding and evaluating sources, attributing sources, and more. From co-designed research assignments to synchronous and asynchronous instructional options, librarians are here to help you support student success.
Professors may collaborate with a librarian to plan and schedule information literacy instruction, including instruction with EKU Libraries Research Center for Special Collections & Archives.
Synchronous Instructional Support
Can be facilitated in-person or via Zoom to accommodate the modality of your course
- Individual library instruction sessions delivered during regular class time and focused on a particular assignment, topic, or skill.
- Cultivated series of library instruction sessions delivered during regular class time and focused on the scaffolded development of a set of skills.
- Research consultations for individuals or small groups, scheduled by the student(s) at a time convenient for them outside of class.
Asynchronous Instructional Support
Can be embedded directly into the LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) or accessed from the Libraries website.
