Research appointments should be a complement to library instruction. If you would like to incorporate research appointments into your course, please consider the following:
- Require students who missed library instruction to schedule an individual research appointment.
- Encourage students to self-elect research appointments as needed.
- Blanket requirements are often ineffective. Instead, consider requiring individual students who are struggling with finding relevant and appropriate sources to schedule a research appointment.
