Borrowing Privileges and User Groups

Information on different user groups at EKU Libraries, borrowing privileges, and information on overdue and lost or damaged books.

Overdue Information

EKU Libraries does not charge overdue fines.

Overdue notices are sent to EKU faculty, staff, and students via their EKU email account when the material is one day overdue and again after two weeks. All other library patrons will receive printed overdue notices.

In the event that materials are not returned within 30 days of their due date, they are considered lost and a notice will be mailed to your address. You will be billed for the replacement costs and processing fees and will lose borrowing privileges until the materials are returned or we receive payment.

Upon return, all fees will be forgiven.

Damaged, Lost and Replacement Information

If you return an item to the library that is damaged, you may be billed for the repair or replacement cost of the item and a processing fee. A replacement copy will not be accepted.
